Simply Grateful

Wow, what a time it's been. Due to COVID-19, these past few weeks have been an interesting experience. There's so much uncertainty, fear, and confusion; and, many people are adjusting to a new way of distanced living.

I just wanted to reach out and let whomever reading this know that it will be okay. We are going to get through this. It may take some weeks ... Actually, it may take some months - if not years. The world may lose touch of the things it's grown accustomed to, but the most important thing to have is each other.  Our families. Our Friends.

If you know of someone who doesn't have close family or friends, reach out and connect with them. I encourage you to spark that conversation, and build that lasting relationship. This moment of time is our greatest opportunity to showcase humanity and compassion for one another. Also it's a time were we can pull back, and understand fully the simple things we are grateful for.

What I'm most grateful for? My mom. I worry about her going out as she is in a high risk age group, but she is the strongest person I know. She teaches me courage, and demonstrates each day about what is means to take care of someone & putting them first. I pray for her protection & safety.

Sending hugs,

Shanell A. Spann
