Birthday in the Mountains
I'm enjoying the beautiful views of West Virginia this year for my birthday via a hiking trip at Cooper's Rock State Forest. With a semester just ending & everyone getting used to all of the social distancing restrictions, I figured that it would be nice to get away for a bit.
Out here in the mountains, life is so different than back home in Wisconsin. All of the peaks, gorges, twisting rivers, & elevation has provided some good web design inspiration versus the flat land I'm used to seeing. I say that because when building a site, everything is flat. It will always be flat, but it can also be dynamic. It should provide the type of experience to give a user an impactful impression.
Each click, each color, each font style, shape manipulation, and the positioning of sections all visually contribute to that experience. Blended with JavaScript, a webpage can truly come to life. So when I get back from this vacation, that's what I'll be working on this summer to practice - building dynamic webpages & applications.
